I am a guitarist and music student from Birkenhead, currently studying at the City of Liverpool College. I have been playing guitar for 12 years, and for the first 5 or 6 I was completely self-taught. I started playing guitar when I was 14 and learnt everything I wanted to purely by ear. I personally like the varied genre of metal music, but have been branching out the past few years, and trying different genres such as Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Soul, etc, to become a more rounded versatile musician, that is not confined by genre based knowledge, and to meet new people and players whilst having fun along the way. Some of my inspirations and favourite artists consist of: Devin Townsend; Miles Davis, Jeff Loomis, Mick Gordon, Guthrie Govan, Andy McKee, Michael Manring. And many more. I love music, in its many shapes and colours and variants that it occurs in, and I hope to be exposed to new forms of music to continue learning and becoming a better musician.
